    Privacy Policy – Meet.SendMega

    Meet.SendMega is a part of the SendMega ecosystem and provides video meetings, chat, screen sharing, AI assistant (ChatGPT), classroom tools, and whiteboard functionality. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data.


    1. Data We Collect

    A. Information You Provide

    • Name, email address, and password (when creating a SendMega account).
    • Files uploaded or shared via Drive.SendMega or SendMega (up to 20GB).
    • Messages sent in meetings or chat (only delivered in real-time; not stored permanently).
    • Contact/support messages sent to support@sendmega.com.

    B. Automatic Data Collection (Usage & Device)

    We automatically collect:

    • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system.
    • Date/time of login, meeting join/exit activity.
    • Connection quality, bandwidth, and error logs.
    • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 10).

    C. AI/ChatGPT Usage

    • When you use ChatGPT inside Meet.SendMega, your prompts are processed only to provide responses.
    • We do not store or reuse ChatGPT conversation content after the meeting ends.


    2. Meeting Content & Recordings

    • Meetings are not recorded or stored by default.
    • If a user enables recording, they are responsible for:
    • Informing all participants and obtaining consent.
    • Managing and storing the recording locally or in Drive.SendMega/SendMega.
    • Screen sharing, whiteboard drawings, and classroom tools are processed in real-time and not stored by us.


    3. File Storage & Sharing

    • Files shared during meetings are stored only if uploaded to Drive.SendMega or SendMega transfer service.
    • You control access to your files (shareable links, permissions, folder privacy).
    • Files can be deleted permanently by the user at any time.


    4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Articles 6 & 7)

    We process your data based on:

    • Legal Basis Purpose Contractual necessity To provide access to meetings, chat, file transfer/storage services.
    • Legitimate interest To secure the platform, detect abuse, monitor performance.
    • Consent For cookies, recordings, and optional features like newsletters.
    • Legal obligation To comply with GDPR, fraud prevention, law enforcement requests.


    5. How We Use Your Data

    We use personal data to:

    • Create and manage your account.
    • Provide meeting, chat, screen sharing, and AI features.
    • Deliver file transfer and cloud storage services.
    • Improve system performance and customer support.
    • Prevent spam, abuse, and unauthorized access.
    • Comply with legal/regulatory obligations.


    6. Data Sharing & Third-Parties

    We do not sell or trade personal data.

    We may share data only with:

    • Service providers (cloud hosting, anti-abuse systems, AI processing like ChatGPT).
    • Law enforcement authorities (only when legally required).

    All third-party providers follow GDPR-compliant data protection standards.


    7. Data Retention

    You have the right to:

    ✔ Restrict or object to processing.

    ✔ Data portability (download or transfer data).

    ✔ Withdraw consent at any time (e.g., cookies or newsletter).

    ✔ File a complaint with EU supervisory authority.

    9. Data Security

    We use:

    • End-to-end encryption in data transfer (SSL/TLS).
    • Encrypted storage for files in Drive.SendMega.
    • Secure password hashing & account protection.
    • Server firewalls and intrusion detection systems.

    However, no system is 100% secure. Users are responsible for keeping their passwords private.


    10. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

    Meet.SendMega uses cookies for:

    • Authentication (login session).
    • Language & interface preferences.
    • Security and fraud prevention.
    • Optional analytics (with user consent).

    You can disable cookies in your browser settings but some features may not work.


    11. Children’s Privacy

    • The platform does not impose an age limit, but users under the legal digital consent age in their country must use the service with parental guidance.
    • We do not knowingly collect data from children without consent.

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date.
